Since 1983, when Dr. Short started his private practice in Washington, Missouri, he has become a recognized leader in both refractive and cataract surgery. As a highly skilled and respected surgeon, he has lectured to colleagues at major medical meetings and universities across the country.

Since these beginnings, his practice has grown into the The Advanced Sight Center, a full-service eyecare institute with highly trained doctors in the field of Lasik surgery. The highly qualified staff assists the doctors as a team with the single purpose to deliver the ultimate standard of care and expertise available to you.

 

Dr. Short graduated from Washington University in 1974. He earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from St Louis University in 1978 and performed his graduate studies in Ophthalmology at Duke University. He is a Board Certified Ophthalmologist and a Fellow of both the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American College of Eye Surgeons.

In addition, he holds memberships in the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons and the International Society of Refractive Surgeons and is past president of the Franklin-Gasconade-Warren County Medical Society.

Dr. M. J. Brodeur III received his B.A. from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, in 1976. He earned his Doctor of Optometry from Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Philadelphia in 1980.

Dr. M. J. Brodeur III has practiced optometry since 1980. He started a practice in 1983 in Gerald, MO, where he continues to see patients on a part-time basis. He brings over 20 years of experience in contact lens fitting and primary eye care to the Advanced Sight Center.

Dr. M. J. Brodeur III is a member of the St.Louis Optometric Society and the Gerald Area Chamber of Commerce.


After Dr. Ullrich completed his internship in Internal Medicine at St. Louis, he served his country in the US Army as a Flight Surgeon for the 1st Infantry Division, Fort Riley, KS. He received his training in ophthalmology at Kansas University Medical Center, followed by a fellowship in Cornea, Refractive Surgery, and External Disease in Louisville, KY.

Dr. Ullrich performs surgery on the anterior (front) segment of the eye including cataract surgery, corneal transplantation, LASIK, Intacs ring placement, and phototherapeutic keratoplasty (PTK).
