Say Goodbye to Cloudy Vision
With Cataract Surgery at Advanced Sight Center

Are You Experiencing Symptoms of Cataracts?

Take the Cataract Self-Test to find out if cataract surgery is right for you.

What Are Cataracts?

Cataracts occur when your eye's naturally clear lens becomes cloudy, blocking light from reaching the retina. The result? Blurry, hazy vision that can interfere with daily life.

While aging is the primary cause, with over half of people 65 and older developing cataracts in their lifetime, other factors may play a role, including certain medications, eye injuries, or UV exposure. Common cataract symptoms include:

  • Cloudy or blurry vision
  • Light sensitivity
  • Halos and glare around lights
  • Needing more light for reading
  • Colors appearing faded or yellowed
  • Double vision in one eye
  • Poor night vision
  • Frequent prescription changes

Restore Your Vision with Cataract Surgery at Advanced Sight Center

Cataract surgery is a quick, virtually painless procedure that involves removing the clouded natural lens and replacing it with a clear intraocular lens (IOL). Your cataract surgeon will begin the procedure by numbing your eye with anesthetic drops.

Then, they will make a small incision to access the natural lens. Your cataract surgeon will use advanced ultrasound technology to break up the lens and remove it before replacing it with the IOL of your choice.

This process restores your vision and prevents cataracts from returning, ensuring you can enjoy clarity for years to come.

Premium IOL Options

Intraocular Lenses (IOLs) are clear artificial lenses that replace the natural lens of the eye during cataract surgery. Standard (monofocal) IOLs provide vision correction for nearsightedness or farsightedness at one distance, while premium IOLs can improve astigmatism and sharpen your vision across multiple distances to reduce your reliance on glasses and contacts.

At Advanced Sight Center, we offer a wide selection of premium IOLs:

Light Adjustable Lens

The Light Adjustable Lens (LAL) is a one-of-a-kind premium lens option that offers vision correction customized to your preferences. The LAL is made from a unique photosensitive material that allows precise adjustment after cataract surgery to achieve a truly personalized visual outcome. You’ll attend a series of painless adjustment sessions after the procedure, where your eye doctor will use the Light Delivery Device to tailor the lens to your visual goals. Between each session, you’ll have the opportunity to test-drive your sight until you arrive at your desired vision.

Multifocal IOLs

Multifocal IOLs are advanced premium lenses designed to give you clear vision at near, intermediate, and far distances, dramatically reducing or even eliminating your dependence on glasses. The innovative PanOptix lens uses precisely engineered concentric rings, each with a different optical power, to create a seamless range of focus. This breakthrough technology allows you to transition effortlessly between activities, whether you're reading a book, working on your computer, driving, or enjoying the view, all without constantly reaching for your glasses. The PanOptix lens is ideal for those with presbyopia or common refractive errors.

Toric IOLs

If you have astigmatism, a toric IOL offers a comprehensive solution for achieving clear distance vision. Your surgeon will carefully select a toric lens that's precisely calibrated to match both the power and axis of your unique astigmatism. This customized approach delivers sharp, crisp vision at far distances, allowing you to see the world with exceptional clarity. While the toric IOL excels at correcting distance vision, you'll likely still need reading glasses for close-up tasks like reading or using your phone, as well as for intermediate activities like computer work.

During your personalized cataract surgery consultation, we'll take the time to thoroughly discuss all of the IOL options that best suit your lifestyle and vision goals. We'll also walk you through what to expect for your vision after surgery, ensuring you have a clear understanding of the outcomes and feel confident about your decision moving forward.
