Meet Our Doctors
Board-Certified Ophthalmologists & Optometrist
Dr. Howard Short established his ophthalmology practice in 1983 to serve the residents of the Franklin County and surrounding areas. At the time, the practice was located on 5th Street in Washington. Advanced Sight Center moved to Jefferson Street in 2001.
In 2005, Dr Chris Ullrich joined the practice to serve community in Franklin County and surrounding areas. In 2007, Dr. Olk joined the practice as the retina specialist. In 2021, Dr. Lory joined the physician team at Advanced Sight Center and Dr. Short retired. In 2022, Dr. de Beus joined Dr. Olk on the retina services team as Dr. Olk transitions into retirement.
There are always new and exciting advances being made in the field of ophthalmology, and our eye doctors make a point of staying on top of them. To do this, they complete many hours of continuing education each year, and maintain membership in some of the most respected organizations in their field.
